The Ranch is owned by Lee and Roxanne Dunn, and operated by them
and their
family. The Ranch Manager is Shaleen Dunn Contreras, Lee's
daughter. She lives on the Ranch with her husband and four girls.
They live in the first house you come to on the lane;
we call it the Ranch House. 50 yards further down the lane
is the Cobblestone House that is a home away from home for Lee and
Roxanne, who live and work in Evergreen, Colorado. The
Cobblestone, with the kitchen being the original homestead house,
is being made ready to also accept vacationers in the near
future. 50 more
yards down the lane is the Log House which is open year round for
vacation renters.
This ranch has an incredible view of the Beartooth Mountain Range,
a spring fed trout lake, about eleven acres in size, and year
round creeks with beaver ponds and trout. Because of the
abundance of water and cover this section of land draws wildlife
of all kinds.
We have seen black bear, wolves, elk, beaver, mountain lion,
pheasant, partridge, sand hill crane, swans, ducks, owls, fox, and
white tail and mule deer are everyday appearances. Deer
often graze in the front yard. This place has aspen groves,
cottonwood and pine stands. There is a nice contrast of
coulees and draws, grass fields, and wide open views of the
Beartooth Mountain Range.
